What's in a Name?
Ella Anne was named with so much love and meaning behind it. “Ella” honors my great grandmother Ella, “Anne” comes from my grandmother Helen Ann, and even the “E” initials were intentional, inspired by my maiden name beginning with an E. Every part of the name carries pieces of family, legacy, and home.
The women who inspired this name embodied warmth, creativity, and hospitality, while the hydrangeas woven throughout our branding, inspired by my great grandmother’s bushes, represent the legacy, beauty, and sense of home I hope Ella Anne brings to our community.
Opening a needlepoint shop in Newnan has been a dream built on love, prayer, and a desire to create more than just a store. My mission is to create a welcoming space where stitchers of all ages and experience levels can gather, learn, create, and feel connected.
My hope is that when you leave our store, you feel like you just became family. Whether you have no idea what needlepoint is or you are a lifelong stitcher, I want you to feel welcomed, seen, and loved the moment you walk through our doors.
Every detail inside Ella Anne has been intentionally chosen with community in mind, and I truly cannot wait to share both my love for needlepoint and my love for this sweet town with each of you.
Meet Shae....
I was born and raised in Georgia, and there is truly nowhere else I would have chosen to raise our family besides Newnan. This sweet town welcomed me with open arms and quickly became the place I proudly call home.
My husband and I, along with our two boys and two pups, live on the west side of the county where life feels like a little slice of heaven. I’ve always had a creative heart, from monogramming and appliquéing when my boys were little to even owning a tiny boutique on wheels. Creating things that bring joy to others has always been something I’ve loved deeply.
What drew me so strongly to the needlepoint community is that you never have to know it all. There is always something new to learn, and every stitcher has something special to share. My hope for Ella Anne is that it feels welcoming to everyone, whether you are picking up a needle for the very first time or have been stitching for years.
At the end of the day, my greatest desire is simply to love people well and create a space where others feel welcomed, seen, and valued. The needlepoint is truly just the cherry on top.
I am so excited to share my love of needlepoint with this community and truly cannot wait to meet each of you.
